Summer has arrived and so has the coveted glow kit by Anastasia Beverly Hills. As summer is already halfway through, I had no problem going through my collection and adding to it with some more highlighters. Anastasia Beverly Hills has been dominating the make up world, not only with her brow and contour products but with her latest eyeshadow palette and Glow Kits. The Glow Kits have been widely talked about products, not only for how gorgeous they are but how much pay off the provide and the selection that each glow kit comes with.
There are currently 5 of them: Gleam, Sun Dipped, That Glow and the latest to the collection, Sweets and Moonchild (currently out of stock). The Glow Kits retail for $40 USD/$52 CAD. They’re reasonably sized in my opinion and come with a sleeve which makes it easy to carry around and not having to worry if the palette has been opened and damaged of any sort.
While the colours picked up really easily and were very pigmented, there was some kick up of product (as seen on the ‘Tourmaline’ pan). I love how multi-functional these shades are and how much variation can be done with them. However, I do wish there was a mirror included since the palette is already fairly large. The palette consists of 4 slots for the highlighter pans but includes a little hole that allows you to take out the pan in case you want to place it in a customizable palette. This makes the palette that much better because you don’t have to struggle to remove the pans and can carry that one shade with you everywhere you go in a custom palette.
I decided to pick up ‘Sun Dipped’ because I thought it was something I could wear not only as highlighter but as bronzer and eyeshadow, if need be. I found it to be more of a versatile palette and steered towards the more neutral tones that the kit had to offer.
All in all, I’m really happy with this purchase and can definitely see myself doing a look using this palette for the eyes and cheeks.
Until next time,
– h.
