Glossier has been a brand that I’ve been eyeing ever since my good friend Holly introduced me to the blog Into The Gloss. Their minimal packaging and sticker sheets that come with each order had me sold. I was dying to get my hands on them for the longest time and finally they’ve arrived in Canada! The day they started shipping to Canada, I messaged beauty blogger, Cindy (@chyism on Instagram!) for some suggestions on products to pick up. She suggested her favourites and a few recommendations.
1. Milky Jelly Cleanser, conditioning face wash ($22 CAD/$18 USD, glossier.com)
I knew that once Glossier announced they were shipping to Canada that this would be the first product I put in my cart. It has been spoken about literally everywhere and while I’ve heard it’s similar to a Cetaphil cleanser, I still had to pick one up to try for myself.
2. Priming Moisturizer, buildable hydrating creme ($27 CAD/$22 USD, glossier.com)
I’ve heard more people talk about the Priming Moisturizer Rich and mixed reviews on this moisturizer, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see as I test it out. On the website, it states that the moisturizer is “light and buildable moisture for a dewy, smooth canvas.” I am 100% down for a moisturizer that is not only hydrating but light feeling as well.
3. Balm Dotcom, universal skin salve ($15 CAD/$12 USD each or Trio $40 CAD/$30 USD, glossier.com)
I couldn’t not pick up any Balm Dotcom’s when placing my order. Since there are 6 to choose from, I chose my top 3 and the fourth, I had chosen for my Phase 1 Set. I ended up choosing the Birthday, Rose, and Mint ones in the Custom Balm Dotcom Trio set ($40 CAD/$30 USD) leaving out Cherry and Coconut. I may end up picking up those two on my next Glossier order (definitely won’t be for a while, but I’m keeping that in mind!)
The Rose balm has a slight pink-tinge to it, it’d make my lips look a little more pink but still natural enough that I don’t have anything on.
The Mint balm is untinted and provides a cooling feeling on the lips. Definitely would be fun for summer during the hotter temperatures but I could see this being sort of fun during the winter, making your lips a little frostier.
Lastly, the Original balm is fragrance-free and untinted as well. It’s a straight up balm to hydrate the lips and the OG. I feel like I couldn’t order any of the Balm Dotcom’s if I didn’t include the original one. I chose this one for my Phase 1 Set, but you can choose any of the 6 flavours to be the one you receive in the set.
4. Boy Brow, grooming pomade ($20 CAD/$16 USD, glossier.com)
Another HG product that I’ve heard from many influencers is the Glossier Boy Brow. From the many brow gels that I’ve tried, they’ve always made my brow hairs feel crispy and sometimes I felt like the gel didn’t actually grasp onto the hair. I’m excited to try these ones as I’ve heard so many good things about them.
The Boy Brow comes in 3 shades (Brown, Black, Blonde) as well as Clear. I was surprised to see the Clear one show as white on the wand but I’m sure it’ll dry clear. I ended up picking up Black and Clear. I figure I can use Black on my lazy days when I’m in a rush and Clear on days when I switch over and use my brow powder and need something to set my brows with.
5. Stretch Concealer ($22 CAD/$18 USD, glossier.com)
With only 5 shades, I really didn’t know what shade to choose. I ended up picking up a second one on top of the one that was included in the Phase 2 Set out of shade curiousity. From Cindy’s recommendation, I picked up the shade Light, I figured this one would match my undereyes the best, but as it was summer, I also picked up the shade Medium. I also figure that if Medium doesn’t work out for me, it’d work out perfectly for my friend Ashley.
6. Generation G, sheer matte lipstick ($20 CAD/$18 USD, glossier.com)
I’ve heard Amelia from AmeliaSaysThis rave about these and couldn’t figure out which one to pick from the 6 shades so I settled for the most ‘nude’ shade that I could see myself gravitating towards more often than the brighter and darker shades.
7. Cloud Paint, seamless cheek colour ($22 CAD/$18 USD each or Duo $36 CAD/$30 USD, glossier.com)
I’m slowly but surely getting the hang of this cream/liquid cheek product thing. I had no idea which shade out of the 4 to choose from but Cindy recommended ‘Dusk’ for my skin tone and has also mentioned that Dusk is one of her favourite ones. So, Dusk it was! I have yet to try this out but I love that it came in this little tube and is a gel-cream formulation.
If you’ve stayed with me until here, I applaud you for lasting throughout this super long post of mine. After my Glossier order was placed, they launched the Wowder, which I’m dying to get my hands on but must resist. I know I won’t be placing another Glossier order in a while but really can’t wait for when I do.
Have you picked up anything from Glossier? What are some of your must-haves?

It all look so good but isn’t the product too costly? and also i didnt saw a product return option in the site.

There are many Glossier reps you can find on Instagram that provide 20% off codes for your first purchase. I do think some products are pretty pricy but I really wanted to try the products, so I may or may not repurchase some of them based on how I like them the first time. Their return policy can be found on the bottom of the site, I believe you contact gTEAM@glossier.com for returns and exchanges. I hope this helps 🙂

I was so happy to see Glossier is finally shipping to Canada. Plus, I like that they state everything in CAD on their site, and ship out of Canada. I picked up the Milky Jelly Cleanser and Balm Dotcom in Coconut! I’m curious about the Generation G lipstick and the Cloud Paint blush.
Here’s my post on my haul (plus a few other sites). 🙂

I really like that I don’t have to convert the prices as well! Can’t wait to read your post! Glossier is also having a pop up in Toronto this weekend if you’re in town 🙂
