Every single Winter, I get super lazy with hydration and moisturizing. Since I’ve put away my skirts and shorts for the season, I’m always wearing jeans or leggings. It’s the hibernation season for my legs as it is with bears but one of the most important things to keep your skip happy and healthy is to provide it with the moisture and hydration that it needs.
I’ve previously used the Palmer’s mint chocolate lip balm and it was possibly my favourite lip balm to date. Unfortunately, I had picked it up in the UK and don’t think they sell it in Canada. But moving on from my currently hydrated lips, I’ve begun to really pay more attention to the rest of my body’s needs: moisture and hydration.
Palmer’s recently launched their Coconut Oil collection, within the collection there are three body products, the body oil, body lotion and body cream. All products to help with hydrating your skin and providing it with the moisture it needs for a radiant glow and a soft, supple feel. Along with coconut oil, the products also contain Tahitian Monoï oil, highly used as a hair and skin softener, sweet almond oil to soothe skin irritation and detoxify and lastly Vitamin E to combat radical damage and to keep skin looking youthful. All their products are free from any harsh chemicals and retain 24 hour hydration. The oil is also non-greasy, fast absorbing formula that won’t stain clothing.
Since last year, I’ve been using coconut oil as a weekly hair mask and have seen a lot of differences in the speed that my hair grows and how healthy and strong feeling it’s been. To continue on this coconut oil train that I’ve gotten on, I began using the Palmer’s Coconut Oil body lotion. Since lotion is a little lighter consistency than cream, I prefer using lotion on the legs and body and the cream for my arms and hands. This is a solely a personal preference, I just find that since I’m putting on clothes after moisturizing, I like the feel of the body lotion rather than the cream as that’s a heavier consistency.
Some days when I don’t have any plans and spend it at home in shorts, I’ll use the body oil just for that extra hydration. I’ve been using the products for about a month now and have really enjoyed the results and how hydrated my skin feels and looks everyday. There’s a really nice healthy glow, just in time to wear a dress for New Years! If you’re a fan of coconut oil and would love to try out some new products, I highly recommend this line! They can be found at Wal-Mart retailing from $5.99 to $7.99.
